This past school year, the organisers of the project focused on the impact of traffic on climate change and the carbon footprint, which gained currency during the COVID-19 epidemic.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the circumstances that ensued due to the epidemic, the organisers decided that there would be no customary closing event this year, but that awards for the most creative artwork, the most imaginative technical or graphic design work and the best research work on sustainable mobility would still be handed out.<\/p>\n<p>The project involved <strong>1,500 children and adolescents from 82 Slovenian kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and special education schools<\/strong>, whose creative products will be displayed in <strong>BTC City Ljubljana\u2019s Shopping Arena A until July 31, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The winners of Mission: Green Steps 2019\/2020 are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kindergartens Vrtec pri O\u0160 Sveti Toma\u017e, Vrtec Pedenjped, Enota Sladkosned, Vrtec Gumbek, Vrtec Ivanjkovci, Vrtec pri O\u0160 XIV. divizije Senovo.<\/p>\n<p>Primary schools O\u0160 Dolenjske Toplice, O\u0160 Vransko \u2013Tabor, O\u0160 Ivana Skvar\u010de Zagorje, O\u0160 Livada Ljubljana, O\u0160 Rodica, O\u0160 Brinje Grosuplje, O\u0160 Dob, P\u0160 Krtina, O\u0160 Oskarja Kova\u010di\u010da in PO\u0160 Rudnik, O\u0160 dr. Bogomirja Magajne Diva\u010da, P\u0160 Seno\u017ee\u010de, O\u0160 Louisa Adami\u010da Grosuplje, P\u0160 \u017dalna, O\u0160 \u0160marje pri Jel\u0161ah, PO\u0160 Sveti \u0160tefan, O\u0160 Louisa Adami\u010da Grosuplje, O\u0160 Gornja Radgona, O\u0160 \u0160martno v Tuhinju, Srednja \u0161ola Zagorje, CUDV Radovljica, O\u0160 Roje, II., O\u0160 \u017dalec, CUEV Strunjan.<\/p>\n<p>BTC is participating in this project under its business pillar Mission: Green, which comprises social responsibility projects and actions aimed at sustainable development. With a number of activities, BTC and its partners create opportunities for the current and all future generations.<\/p>\n<p>Eco-Schools is the largest international network of children, adolescents, educators and teachers in the world, which applies environmental education and the principles of sustainable development to everyday work and learning. It involves more than 15 million children, a million educators and teachers, and over 48,000 institutions in 65 countries across the world.
