[vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Friday, BTC City Ljubljana hosted a couple of prestigious guests \u2013 Olympic silver medallist Tina Trstenjak and Marjan Fabjan, founder and principal coach of judo club \u201cZ’de\u017eele\u201d Sankaku Celje. Following the silver medal win at the Tokyo Olympics, they were received with honours by the BTC company, longtime sponsor of Tina Trstenjak, judo club \u201cZ’de\u017eele\u201d Sankaku Celje and the Olympic Committee of Slovenia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The BTC company has been sponsoring Tina Trstenjak since 2015 and judo club \u201cZ’de\u017eele\u201d Sankaku Celje since 2016. From her sponsor, Tina Trstenjak received a check in the amount of EUR 2,500 for winning a silver medal at this year\u2019s Olympic Games in Tokyo, while Marjan Fabjan \u2013 with six Olympic medals the most successful judo coach in Slovenia and certainly one of the best judo coaches in the world \u2013 received a check in the amount of EUR 1,500 to support judo club \u201cZ’de\u017eele\u201d Sankaku Celje.<\/p>\n

At the reception, Tina Trstenjak<\/strong> said: \u201cI\u2019m grateful for the longtime support of the BTC company, which has stood by my side for over five years. At the same time, I\u2019m happy that I have justified their faith in me with a great performance in Tokyo. For me, this Olympic medal is the best motivation for training in the future, so I\u2019m already looking forward to new challenges on the tatami.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The legendary Marjan Fabjan<\/strong>, who is celebrating his 50th<\/sup> anniversary of working in judo and who achieved great success as a judoka himself, emphasized: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that our judo club\u2019s Olympic collection \u2013 two gold and three bronze medals \u2013 has been enriched with another medal, this time a silver one.<\/em> Every single one of these medals is incredibly valuable. Behind each and every one there is a story of perseverance, years of hard training and discipline. Without this, there can be no success. For Tina, this Olympic medal \u2013 already her second one \u2013 is more than deserved. We\u2019re all proud of her. And of course, all this would not have been possible without the help of our sponsors, such as the BTC company.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Representing the BTC company at the reception were Damjan Kralj, M.Sc., CEO of the BTC company, Jo\u017ee Mermal, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Miha Mermal, Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer.<\/p>\n
