With this event, a unique exhibition area opened next to Atlantis
\nWater Park, and became the largest exhibition venue for creative
\nindustries and arts in Slovenia. The opening event was attended by
\nrepresentatives of the organiser and other distinguished guests, namely
\nPresident of the BTC Management Board Jo\u017ee Mermal, head of Institute
\nAAMI and principal organiser of the 1st<\/sup> Art Expo Ljubljana Miha Murn, and Mayor of the City of Ljubljana Zoran Jankovi\u0107.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is their support for the advancement of culture in Slovenia that
\nhas brought together BTC and Institute AAMI, and initiated the project
\nArt Expo Ljubljana, which takes place for the first time this year. Art
\nExpo Ljubljana represents a new feature, one that endows Slovenia and
\nBTC City Ljubljana with a new dimension. It unites all kinds of creative
\nindustries and arts in one spot, and helps young artists to break onto
\nthe market. It provides a platform for the promotion of culture, as well
\nas the development and networking of domestic and foreign creators,
\ncultural organisations, as well as art fans and supporters from 15
\ncountries.<\/p>\n

Alongside the main event, visitors can always embark on an “Art
\nTour”, a walk among artworks in BTC City Ljubljana, which lives and
\nbreathes as a city of culture and art. “In the BTC Company, we have
\nembraced art as our own ever since the very beginning of our operations.
\nProof of this is the SiTi Teater theatre, our support for events and
\ncreators, and our art collection, a part of which is exhibited in BTC
\nCity Ljubljana. With Art Expo Ljubljana, BTC City Ljubljana brings
\ntogether 15 countries in one place, while also strengthening its own
\ncultural dimension and offerings. BTC’s support is a tribute to creators
\nand helps young and up-and-coming artists,” said President of the BTC Management Board Jo\u017ee Mermal<\/strong>, showing his support for the event, the artists, and culture in general.<\/p>\n

The BTC Company is involved in different sections of social life.
\nEver since its incorporation in 1954, it has supported various types of
\ncreativity, including music, theatre, fine art, design, architecture,
\nand other kinds of cultural creation. It is the founder of SiTi Teater
\nand a supporter of diverse artists. It boasts an extensive art
\ncollection of timeless artworks by domestic and foreign artists, to
\nwhich it continuously adds new items. Today, the art collection consists
\nof more than 400 artworks, some of which are interspersed throughout
\nthe entire area of BTC City Ljubljana. At the 1st<\/sup> Art Expo
\nLjubljana, visitors can get even closer to art and experience the
\ncultural content of the “Art Tour” with a walk among the exhibited
\nartworks in the lovely environment of BTC City Ljubljana.<\/p>\n

With a
\nrich cultural programme spanning 14 days, Art Expo Ljubljana will
\nprovide a platform for more than 140 artists and 70 companies, and will
\nalso offer visitors a mesh of musical performances and other cultural
\nevents. The closing event of the project will take place on 1 October
\n2017. <\/p>\n

About Institute AAMI<\/h2>\n

Institute AAMI creates new opportunities for the expansion of
\nactivities of artists and projects, and fosters the advancement of all
\nnatural and legal persons active in culture and the arts. The purpose of
\nthe institute is to help different creators introduce themselves on the
\nmarket. It provides them with exhibition space, promotion, and services
\nrelating to artwork sale. A constituent part of the institute’s
\noperations is raising awareness and educating the general public about
