Atlantis Water Park is a key part of BTC City’s development as a city of the future, which is why it is constantly adapting its facilities and infrastructure to meet visitors’ expectations. Following the addition of a new indoor water slide, a climbing wall and the opening of the state-of-the-art Atlas Medical Centre for physical therapy and rehabilitation, this autumn will see the refurbishment of the reception area and changing rooms at Adventure World, which will provide a more modern and pleasant first contact with Atlantis for the visitors.
Atlantis Water Park is getting a new look, as this autumn will see an extensive refurbishment, including a complete renovation of the reception area and the changing rooms at Adventure World, as well as necessary maintenance work on the pool area. The entire upgrade will focus on greater comfort, a more modern design and an even better visitor experience.
The refurbishment is part of the wider development of Atlantis Water Park within the framework of BTC City’s established development strategy as the “City of the Future”. Atlantis Water Park is enhancing its traditional offering of water and wellness experiences with new services in the areas of health, exercise, regeneration and wellness. This year, the offering has already been expanded to include a 46-metre indoor water slide, a climbing wall next to the wave pool and a new, state-of-the-art centre for physical therapy, rehabilitation and preventive healthcare – Atlas Medical Centre.
“We are developing Atlantis Water Park with our visitors in mind – their expectations, needs and overall experience – which is also one of the cornerstones of BTC City’s strategic development as the City of the Future. This year, we are not only introducing new contents and attractions but also refurbishing the areas that represent visitors’ first point of contact with Atlantis, as we want them to be greeted by a modern, pleasant and functional facility the moment they arrive. Every new feature and every upgrade are part of the same goal, as we want to create a space where visitors can relax, be active, enjoy themselves and, at the same time, experience something new,” emphasised Jure Marjanovič, Director of the BTC City Business Unit.
Due to renovation works, Adventure World will be closed from 1 September until, as foreseen, 24 October 2026, with reopening scheduled to take place immediately after the renovation is completed. Atlantis Wellness will continue to operate as normal during this period, and adult visitors will also be able to swim in the Thermal Pool, known as the “Spa Escape”. Other providers within the water park will operate according to their regular or adjusted opening hours, which visitors can check on their websites.
With over four million visitors since opening its doors, Atlantis Water Park has, over more than two decades, become one of the most recognisable destinations for water-based experiences, relaxation and recreation in Slovenia. This year’s new features and the autumn refurbishment are thus the next step in its development, which is entirely tailored to visitors’ needs.
