BTC d.d. has been named Superbrand 2008 by the international organization Superbrands. 770 Slovenian brands competed for the Superbrand status, and the BTC brand has been selected as one of over one hundred top brands in Slovenia. Voting for the Superbrand status was conducted by the Expert Council, comprised of 53 marketing experts, representatives of academic institutions, associations and media.
The key selection criteria were quality, trustworthiness, emotional bonding and advantages over other brands.
Superbrands is the only global and independent organization present in over 70 countries in five continents, and since 2007 it has also been operating in Slovenia. Superbrands monitors the success of individual brands on all important world markets and identifies those who are, in their functional or emotional dimension, more successful than their competition.
The aim in long-term development of the BTC brand, which has experienced a great deal of change in its 55 years of existence, has always been to satisfy the wishes and needs of its visitors as best as possible. Thus, BTC CITY Ljubljana is today the biggest business, shopping, recreational, entertainment and cultural centre in Slovenia, as well as one of the biggest centres of its kind in Europe, with 20 million visitors every year.
For BTC, Superbrand 2008 status signifies additional confirmation that it is achieving its goals successfully.
