Atlantis Water Park has expanded its range of water experiences with a new indoor water slide in Adventure World. The new water attraction complements one of the most popular parts of the complex and offers visitors even more opportunities for active and fun leisure activities throughout the entire year.
With a total length of 46 metres, the enclosed tube slide is located on the indoor pool deck next to the wave pool, where the most dynamic parts of the water park intertwine. It is primarily intended for children and teenagers and is already the fifth slide at Atlantis Water Park, further enhancing the offerings of Adventure World.
“Every upgrade at Atlantis Water Park originates from a consideration of how to better adapt the space to modern leisure activities. The new water slide is part of the broader story of Adventure World, which remains dynamic and appealing to families and anyone looking to spend their free time actively throughout the year. Water slides, in particular, offer significant added value, especially for families with children, as such water attractions play a key role in creating a playful aquatic experience that is particularly exciting for families with children,” emphasizes Jure Marjanovič, director of the BTC City Business Unit.
Since the opening of Atlantis Water Park, Adventure World has been the central hub of water fun, offering not only a wave pool, slow- and fast-current rivers, and an adventure pool, but also two large water slides up to 140 metres long – the famous Black Hole and the tube slide – as well as numerous other water attractions for all ages.
Upgrades to Adventure World will continue in the coming months. Visitors will soon have access to a new climbing wall in the wave pool, which will add an element of skill and challenge to the water fun and further expand the possibilities for active indoor recreation.
Family Weekend Fun Marking the Opening of New Attraction
Visitors can already try out the new water slide this coming weekend, 21 and 22 March. Atlantis Water Park is hosting a special Family Weekend, featuring creative, sports and fun activities for children between 5 and 10 years of age in the Kids Club nook from 10.00 to 18.00, led by experienced activity leaders. While the children enjoy the organised activities, parents can treat themselves to a relaxing break in the pools of Adventure World. On both days, free admission will also be available for children under 12 accompanied by an adult.
The development of Atlantis Water Park’s offerings is an ongoing process. Last year, the complex received the title of “Best Swimming Facility” in the indoor pool category for the twentieth time – an award voted on by visitors to Slovenian swimming facilities.
Sustainability is also an important part of its story. Since 2016, Atlantis Water Park, together with ŠC Millenium, has been heated using waste heat from the neighbouring company AquafilSLO, thereby significantly reducing its carbon footprint from scope 2 emissions and contributing to the energy-efficient development of the urban area.
With its new indoor water slide, Atlantis Water Park continues the story of a facility that combines water fun, physical activity, relaxation and environmental responsibility. Adventure World remains a dynamic space that evolves alongside its visitors, offering them new, diverse and high-quality water experiences all year round.
