At the award ceremony of the first European CSR Award in Slovenia, which took place on Thursday, 18th April, and was organised by the Network for Corporate Social Responsibility Slovenia (MDOS) and Ekvilib Institute, the BTC Company received the European CSR Award in the category “large enterprise”. BTC received the award for its project “BTC City and women’s ski jumping”.

The official award justification emphasized that BTC, a long-time sponsor and supporter of the Ski Jumping Club Ljubno BTC, has supported the organisation of the World Cup competition in women’s ski jumping, and acted as the general sponsor of both World Cup competitions in Ljubno ob Savinji.

“The company BTC is extremely satisfied to see our project, along with all the hard work and energy invested in the organisation of the World Cup competitions in women’s ski jumping in Ljubno ob Savinji, recognized as socially responsible in the wider European context. The organisation of competitions is very important for the development of this beautiful sport in Slovenia as well as worldwide. In this way we also try to help women ski jumpers to be able to participate in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia,” says BTC’s Petra Novak.
