Women’s cycling team UAE Team ADQ, whose roster includes the Slovenian riders Eugenia Bujak and Urša Pintar, came together for a training camp in Altea, Spain, last week to prepare for the fast-approaching upcoming season.

UAE Team ADQ was formed at the end of last year after UAE Team Emirates acquired the women’s WorldTour licence from team ALÉ BTC Ljubljana. The new WorldTour team kept on a couple of riders from the former Italian-Slovenian outfit, including Slovenian national champions Urša Pintar and Eugenia Bujak, while experienced coach and DS Gorazd Penko became one of the team’s sporting directors.

“I’m very grateful to UAE Team ADQ for this great opportunity,” said Eugenia Bujak ahead of the new season. “We’re a good team, we work well together, and I’m sure that we’ll be able to achieve good results. My personal goal this year is to win another race again.”

The team will enter the new season at Vuelta CV Feminas on February 6, 2022. The team will be easily identifiable by its fading blue-orange jerseys, which are reminiscent of Emirati sunsets.
