Ljubljana, 10 November 2004BTC City will make sure that the cold and gloomy month of November is brought to life with its entertainment programme since it is not only a shopping centre but also a centre for fun and relaxation. Therefore, BTC City offers some extra locations to host social events such as the Saint Martin’s Day celebration in Youth Alley, in front of the Emporium department store and at the market, a school of hip-hop dancing in the basement of the Emporium department store, a fun fair and Lego fun.

Hall D situated in the basement of the Emporium department store will host a free school of hip-hop dancing this weekend. Youngsters aged 5 to 18 can attend classes that will be led by expert teachers from the Urška dancing school. It will take place on Saturday 13 November from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors will be offered roasted chestnuts in front of Emporium.

On Saint Martin’s Saturday must turns into wine and we at BTC will do our best to celebrate this properly. On 13 November in Youth Alley and at the market there will be martinovanje from 10 a.m. onwards where our visitors will be able to enjoy the food, roasted chestnuts and drinks, including new wine, offered at stands in both locations. There will also be live music to liven up the atmosphere in Youth Alley; from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the band Zapeljivke will play for us. The market area will also be lively where the young accordion player Miha Debevec will ensure a good atmosphere up until 4 p.m.

It is worth stopping at the big Euro fun fair which opened last Friday evening, accompanied by amazing colourful fireworks that lit up the sky above BTC City. The fun fair is situated in parking lot number 4 in the vicinity of Hall A. BTC will also take care of the youngest. For them we have organised an event named Lego fun which will take place over 2,000 m2 of Hall A and last for a whole month from 12 November onwards. From 10 November to 23 November the basement of the Emporium department store will host 2 workshops for children: Carrera logo – feel the speed and win and Tomy toy house – a train adventure. The first workshop offers the racing system Carrera go! model with a racing track full of curves and challenging loops, while the other one offers a true adventure with a railway model run by Tomaž’s engine. Children can also play with a range of other Tomy toys.

The merry December at BTC City will clearly be coloured by the festive spirit of the holiday season.
