Jože Mermal, the president of the BTC Management Board, signed individual sponsorship contracts with 12 Slovenian gymnasts, thereby obliging BTC Company to sponsor the best Slovenian gymnasts again in 2011. BTC Company renewed all sponsorship contracts from the previous year and additionally signed two young promising gymnasts, namely Žiga Britovšek and Gregor Saksida.

By extending the sponsorship contracts BTC Company continues to pursue a very successful and lasting partnership cooperation with the Slovenian Gymnastics Federation and its members. For over 10 years BTC has been supporting top Slovenian gymnasts including the winner of the World cup on parallel bars and the best Slovenian gymnast in 2010, Mitja Petkovšek, together with Aljaž Pegan, who placed second at the end of the World cup season on horizontal bar, and Sašo Bertoncelj, who placed third in World cup overall on pommel horse.

BTC Company renewed the existing sponsorship contracts for the year 2011 with all the previous members and additionally started supporting two young promising gymnasts Žiga Britovšek (parallel bars and pommel horse) and Gregor Saksida (still rings). Sponsored members of the Slovenian Gymnastics Federation for the year 2011 are:

After signing the contracts, Jože Mermal, the president of the BTC Management Board, said that gymnastics could be regarded as one of the most promising sports in Slovenia and that Slovenian gymnasts never cease to impress us with excellent results in world’s most renowned competitions. He also said that BTC Company was happy to be part of such a successful story in the making together with top Slovenian gymnasts.

With European Gymnastics Championship in Berlin approaching in April, BTC Company and the competitors are thrilled to see the first performances in new season take place, knowing that the spring part of the season brings extra efforts. Some of the competitors are attending the final preparations for the new season in Madeira, Portugal.
