During its annual meeting, which was held on July 3, the Ski Association of Slovenia presented the president of BTC Management Board Jože Mermal with a special award honouring his contribution to the development of ski jumping in Ljubno ob Savinji and Slovenia in general.

On February 11 and 12, Ljubno ob Savinji hosted two World Cup competitions in women’s ski jumping, which puts Ljubno ob Savinji on the map alongside some of the most renowned organizers of ski jumping in the world. The BTC Company played an important role in the sponsorship, organisation and marketing of this event, with which it wanted to contribute to the further development of this sport in Slovenia. Ljubno ob Savinji hosted a true sports holiday, since the event represented a new cornerstone in the organisation of World Cup competitions in women’s ski jumping. Never before have so many visitors visited a World Cup competition in women’s ski jumping, as Ljubno ob Savinji greeted more than 6.000 visitors, who accompanied each jump with a big cheer.
At the end of what was an amazingly successful season, the Ski Association of Slovenia awarded the most prestigious award, the Bloke Skier Statue, for exceptional performance in the past season to Tina Maze, Filip Flisar, Robert Kranjec, Jakov Fak and the Slovenian national teams in ski jumping and biathlon. The Bloke Skier Statues were awarded to Marjan Fortin, Vinko Poklukar, and Beno Hvala for their contributions to winter ski-sports.
